Henline has an RBI double in 3rd, while Dean Schuerman &

& Bob Dierker goes yard in 7th to make it a 1-run contest;
Dierker finishes with 3 hits, including a pair of deuces;

en route a series-clinching win;
Evers sparks his club with 4 hits, including yet another HR;
Evers, Dierker & Don Young hit consecutive bombs in opening
frame to set tone for finale;
Young belts 3 solo center strikes for game with his other HRs
coming in 6th & 9th innings;
Bowe also hits a solo HR in 3rd as SGU connects for 6 in contest;
John Schulte of SGU adds an RBI triple in 5th & scores on
1 of Evers' 3 doubles for game;
Henline, Rahe & Schuerman knock in B#1's runs with

Trailing 7-0 after 3 innings of play, BGN rallies for game's
final 10 runs in a contest featuring 41 hits;
Bernie Blasius' 2-out, 2-run double in 7th puts BGN up to stay;
Jody Yowler (2B) & Lish McIntosh (2B) each have 4 hits for
winners, while Kevin Miller has 3 (2-2B);
Mike Barbour drives in 3 on a double & triple;
Blasius ends with 4 RBI, including another 2 RBI deuce in
4th to start team's comeback;
Michele Lewis also drives in 2 on a solo HR & a double;
Zion's Rick Nelson leads both sides with 5 hits (4-2B, RBI),
while teammates Brian Burrell (2 RBI) & Dick Eilert (RBI)

strokes 22 hits for 3rd straight game;
Hosts rally in this classic with 4 in 8th (all with 2 out)
to tie game at 9 & win it in 13th on Mike Moenter's
walk-off RBI triple following a lead-off single by Hansen;
Moenter also has big 2-RBI triple in 8th sandwiched around
run-scoring singles by Hansen & Nelson;
Nelson's single in 8th gives him a cycle for game
(2B-3B-HR-x-1B-2B) as he finishes with 5 hits & 3 RBI;
Hansen (RBI) ends game with 4 hits, while Eilert &
Mike Hoelter contribute 3 each;
Yowler (2B) & Barbour (2B, HR, 3 RBI) both reach safely 4 times;
Mark Armbruster (2B, 3B) & Miller have 2 RBI apiece for BGN;

NR takes a 1-0 lead in 5th on Jim Dobson's 2-out RBI single,
but PP ties game an inning later on a Jim Jones RBI triple;
Dobson leads both sides with 3 hits, including a double
G#2: NR, 5-3
NR pushes win streak to 3 games with its middle game win;
Lyle Schroeder hits a pair of 2-run HRs in both 2nd & 4th frames,
pushing NR's advantage to 5-1;
Adam Snyder singles home NR's 1st run of game in 2nd,
plating Gary Chamberlain who leads off with a triple;
A Steve Williams double (his 1st of 2 for game) in 1st gives
PP an early 1-0 cushion;
PP draws to within 2 runs in 6th on Al Troutt's solo HR & a

PP uses 4 HRs to capture finale with Will Tezak leading

Todd Kurfess hits a lead-off, walk-off HR in 9th to win it for
BGSM after B#2 rallies for 3 in 8th to deadlock contest;
BGSM goes ahead 1st on Larry Zimmerman's 3-run bomb in 2nd;
Ken Finley then hits an RBI triple in 6th for B#2;
Keith Miller puts hosts back up by 3 with a solo HR in 7th;
Rick Cajka (3B), Finley (1B) & Ken Gerwin (3B)
have RBI hits for B#2 in 8th;
Miller also adds a double to pace BGSM in hits
G#2: B#2, 7-1
Mike O'Brien (RBI), Pepper Martin & Travis Ford
(3-2B, HR, 2 RBI) pace B#2 with 4 hits apiece, while
Duane Peters (2 RBI) adds 3 safeties;
The aforementioned shooters combine for 15 of team's 20 hits;
A big 4-run 4th proves to be difference in game with John Keiser
(2-run HR) & Ford (solo HR) providing big blows;

B#2 strikes for 5 in 2nd & holds on for dear life for series win;
Ford connects on a 3-run HR to start B#2 rally which is
capped off by a Kit Keiser 2-run center finder;
BGSM chips away with a pair of solo HRs in both 5th
(by Dave Otte & Tom Lemmerbrock) & 6th (by John Kunstmann
& Otte) frames to make it a ballgame;
Finley hits what turns out to be a big 2-out, 2-run triple in 9th
as BGSM strikes for a pair on Cheryl Kurfess'
2-run HR just 3 batters later;
BGSM's rally falls a run short after Todd Kurfess is stranded
at 1st after collecting his 4th hit of game with 1 away
B#2 moves to 4-2; BGSM slips to 2-4

Down 1-0 in 4th, Myrl Bretz hits a 3-run HR for SR
& club would not trail rest of contest;
Lori Dewyre produces 4 hits for hosts, including a key
2-out, 2-run triple in 8th after BGC cuts deficit to a single tally
in 7th on a Ben Peters RBI double;
Rick Traver's RBI single in 4th temporarily puts BGC up 1-0;
Ed Boelkens leads SR with 3 hits to match Peters of BGC
G#2: BGC, 5-2
BGC gets all of its runs in its final 2 innings, scoring once in 7th
on a Seth Peters single & 4 more in 8th on another Peters single
immediately followed by a Jim Meyer 2-out, 3-run bomb;
Dewyre produces 2 more RBI for SR on a triple in 1st
& a solo HR in 6th
G#3: BGC, 5-3
Craig Kleine breaks out for a 4-hit game as BGC claims
its 1st series victory of season;
Kleine has an RBI single in 1st to put squad up 1-0 & then
doubles in 9th to plate team's final run;
Ben Peters makes it 2-0 with an RBI single later in 1st;
BGC's other tallies come home on solo HRs by Paul Wachter
in 4th & Meyer in 8th;
Dewyre gets SR on board with an RBI 3-bagger in 1st
& Steve Kurfess ties game with a run-scoring deuce in 2nd;

PM scores both of its runs in 7th on an RBI double by
Paul Spicer & a 2-out single by Rick Ward;
TUM gets on board in 9th on Dana Kratzer's lead-off HR,
but can't draw even;
Ward leads both sides with 4 hits, while Dana &
Brad Kratzer (2B) each collect 3
G#2: PM, 9-4
PM slams 27 hits en route to win after coasting to 7-1 lead in 7th;
PM snaps a 1-1 tie in 4th & never looks back after Tom Jividen
& Alex Ward collect RBI singles;
Both Jividen & Ward finish game with 3 RBI;
Jividen also collects 6 hits, including a double, while
Darren Pash has 5 hits with a pair of RBI doubles
in 8th & 9th stanzas;
Alex Ward & Bob Jividen each contribute 4 hits to PM's attack;
