Kevin Miller & Jody Yowler pace guests with 3 hits each;

Jerry Charles hits a 2-run bomb in 2nd for BGC to knot score at 2;
Craig Kleine's solo HR in 8th rallies BGC back from a 1-run deficit;

& gives BGN lead for good;

B#2 collects 6th win in last 10 games, while SGU
drops 4th straight series;
Squads divide season match-up, 3-3

Hosts break a scoreless game in 5th on a Bob Marsh
RBI single which stands as deciding safety;
Garry Evers drives in SGU's last 2 runs in 7th on a HR,
his 1st of 4 on night;
B#2 musters only 3 hits

John Keiser's 1-out, walk-off, 2-run HR in 9th gives
B#2 a much-needed victory in middle game;
Up 8-4 after 7 innings, B#2 sees its lead evaporate when
SGU scores 4 in 8th to tie & then another single tally in 9th
to take a short-lived lead;
Bob Dierker & Evers both hit 2-run bombs in 8th &
Chris Lockoski connects on a RBI double in 9th, his team's

Zion, winners of 11 of last 15 games, takes 5th straight series
& moves into 3rd place
G#1: ZL, 8-3
Brian Burrell, Rick Nelson & Mike Hoelter all have 4-hit games
in helping Zion total 21 safeties in opener;
Nelson has 3 doubles & a triple in knocking in a pair of runs;
Burrell strokes 2 doubles, while Hoelter drives in 3,
including a RBI triple in 7th to cap ZL's scoring;
Andy Lang also chips in 2 RBI;
Julie Williams blasts a 2-run HR in 6th & another solo
bomb in 9th to pace PP
G#2: PP, 7-6
PP builds a 7-1 lead in middle game, but holds on for win;
Steve Williams sparks PP's attack with a solo HR in 3rd
to tie game at 1-1 & then smashes a 3-run center finder
in 5th to put PP up by 5;
Chris Tezak also has 3 RBI for PP with a 2-run double in
5th & a RBI triple in 6th for squads final run;
Tezak ends game with a team-best 3 hits;
Burrell has 5 of Zion's 17 hits;
Dick Eilert, Lang & Dan Meyer have 3 RBI apiece;
Down to its final out, Eilert drills a 2-run HR to bring
Zion within a run;
ZL gets 2 more singles after Eilert's HR, but team's
rally falls just short

Zion continues to hit well in finale with 21 more hits;
Burrell, Moenter, Nelson & Lang all record 4 hits each
with Nelson & Land also driving in 4 apiece;
Nelson strokes 4 doubles, including 2-run deuces in both
6th & 7th innings;
Lang produces back-to-back 2-RBI doubles in 5th & 6th;
Nelson's last double gives team a 9-1 lead;
