NR scores all of its runs on solo HRs;
Lyle Schroeder & Ryan Chamberlain go deep in 3rd to
tie game at 2-2;
Dave Snyder hits a 2-out bomb in 4th to put NR up 3-2 &
Schroeder connects again with a lead-off shot in 5th to
extend lead to 2 tallies

It's NR that fashions a comeback in middle game, scoring
4 times in last inning to erase a 2 run deficit;
NR starts T-9th with 4 hits, including an RBI double by
Stev Bockbrader & a 3-run center strike by Snyder;
Larry Zimmerman gives BGSM a 2-0 advantage in 4th
after registering a long ball;
Todd Kurfess leads both sides with 3 hits

Miller provides only offense of game with his 2 solo HRs;
Miller goes deep with 1-out in 4th & then again as lead-off
man in 7th to finish night with 3 bombs;
Both teams combine for just 11 hits with Tom Lemmerbrock's

Mike Farr's 1-out triple in 8th snaps a 2-2 tie &
stands as winning hit;
Farr also triples home a run in Trinity's 2-run 6th that
erases a 1-run SR advantage;
Brad Kratzer (1B) has other RBI hit in 6th for hosts;
Fred Swihart gives SR a 1-0 lead in 2nd on an RBI triple;
Larry Michel ties game briefly in 8th with a 2-out RBI 3-sacker

SR scores 7 of its 9 runs in 3rd inning on 9 hits
en route to blow-out win;
Myrl Bretz drives in 4 runs to pace SR;

bases-loaded single, but Kit Keiser quickly puts
B#2 in front a half inning later with a 2-run, 2-out double;
Karns ties game in 3rd with an RBI single, but Travis Ford's 2-out
RBI triple in B#2's 3rd gives team its last lead of contest;
Ken Rahe's 2-out RBI 3-bagger in 4th deadlocks

SGU gets its runs on solo HRs by Gary Evers in 3rd (2 outs)
& Bob Marsh in 5th (lead off)
John Troutt's solo blast in 3rd puts PP up 1st at 1-0

PP strikes for 3 runs in both 2nd & 5th frames for win;
Kim Tezak (1B), Troutt (2B) & Chris Tezak (1B) have
RBI hits in 3rd, while Ron Curtis belts a 3-run
bomb in 5th to seal win;
PP's Will Tezak has 3 safeties, including a pair of doubles,

SGU spoils PP bid for sweep in finale;
Hosts string together 3 straight doubles in 2nd frame,
including RBI hits from Jim Bowe & Charlie Krawetzke,
to take a 2-0 lead;
SGU uses 3 more deuces in 7th to double lead with
Krawetzke & John Schulte plating runs;
Krawetzke, Don Young & Bowe all finish game with 2 doubles

BGN sets tone with 4 in 1st on 2-out RBI hits by Mike Barbour (3B),
Mark Armbruster (1B), Kevin Miller (3B) & Bernie Blasius (1B);
PM's Paul Spicer gets a run back in 4th on his bases-loaded single,
but Naz answers for 3 tallies in its half on consecutive
RBI hits by Barbour (2B), Armbruster (1B) & Miller (1B);
Todd Nienow, Barbour & Miller (2B in 6th) conclude with 4 hits
apiece as does Pash of PM who has RBI single in 7th;
Bob Jividen chips in 3 hits for PM, including an RBI triple
in team's 2-run 7th;

BGN again gets off to a fast start, this time scoring 5 in 1st on
4 straight doubles by Barbour, Armbruster (2 RBI), Miller & Brendan Yowler;
A Barbour 2-out RBI single in 4th makes it 6-0;
BGN pushes lead to 8 in 7th on RBI singles by Yowler &
rookie Scott Atkinson (with 2 out) & then runs score to 9-0 in
9th on Jody Yowler's 2-out RBI single;
PM spoils shutout with 2 in last of 9th on 2-out RBI safeties
by Alex Ward (3B) & Tom Jividen (1B);
Jody Yowler ends with 4 hits, while teammates Armbruster,
Miller (2-2B) & Brendan Yowler (2-2B) post 3 each;
Pash & Bob Jividen lead PM with 3 hits apiece

Spicer sparks guests to victory in finale, going 5-for-5 with 2 RBI;
Armbruster gives BGN its 3rd straight opening-inning lead
with his 2-out RBI triple;
PM, however, grabs its 1st advantage of series in 2nd with 2 runs on Spicer's 2-out RBI triple & a Grace Jividen RBI single;
Lish McIntosh, BGN's hit leader with 3, ties game in 3rd
at 2-2 with a solo HR;
Spicer's RBI single in 7th regains PM's upper hand for good;
Pash (3B) & Ward (1B) have 2-out RBI hits in 8th to seal win;
Pash ends game with 3 more hits & concludes series with 10;
BGN's offense sputters with only 6 hits (including just 3 over last 6 innings) after manufacturing 40 in previous 2 contests (21 in G#2);
Both teams end 3-game set with 46 hits
PM maintains 1st at 7-2; Naz jumps to 6-3 (alone in 2nd)

G#1: BGC, 5-4 (12 innings)
After a Brian Burrell solo HR gives Zion a 4-3 lead in 12th,
BGC responds to tie game on Rick Traver's 1-out RBI triple
& win it on a Caleb Peters follow-up, walk-off RBI single;
Paul Wachter, who drives in all 3 of BGC's runs earlier in
game on 2 HRs, starts BGC rally in 12th with a 1-out error hit;
Zion battles back earlier with 2 in 6th on an Andy Lang 2-out,
2-RBI triple & then gets equalizer on Dick Eilert's 2-out,
RBI 3-bagger in 7th;
Wachter & Ron Merritt each finish with 3 hits for BGC,
while Eilert, Burrell (2B in 10th) & Lang do same for Zion
G#2: BGC, 4-2
BGC builds a 4-0 lead & then holds on for win;
Peters, who leads BGC with 3 hits, notches RBI singles
in 1st & 2nd innings;
Jim Meyer hits a solo HR for BGC's 1st run of 2nd frame

deuce in 4th gives BGC lead for good;
Traver concludes scoring with a lead-off HR in 7th;
