 Stony Ridge & New Rochester both

NR wins for 8th time in last 11 games,

while drought continues for BGSM

G#1:  NR, 6-2

Down 2-0, NR rallies for 3 in 7th & 3 in 8th;

Dave Snyder hits a 2-run HR in 7th to tie it & Lyle Schroeder

follows 3 batters later with a solo shot that stands as game winner;

Snyder caps scoring with a 3-run, back-breaking bomb in 8th;

Sonny Castillo has 3 hits for NR, while Todd Kurfess &

Dave Otte have 3 hits each for BGSM

G#2:  NR, 4-3

Gary Chamberlain ends this one with a 1-out, walk-off

double in 9th inning;

Larry Weiss of BGSM ties game at 3-3 in 8th with a solo HR;

Weiss also hits a lead-off HR in 4th to put team up 1-0;

Adam Snyder counters Weiss' 1st HR with a 2-run center

strike, but a Marilyn Shepperd RBI double in 5th

ties game for BGSM;

Russ Siek has NR's other RBI with a 2-bagger in 7th

G#3:  NR, 6-1

NR busts out with 4 runs in 1st & coasts to victory;

Adam Snyder has a RBI double in opening stanza &

Chamberlain soon follows with a 3-run HR;

Stev Bockbrader, Siek & Snyder end game with 3 hits apiece;

John Kunstmann plates hosts lone run with a lead-off

HR in 7th inning to cut deficit to 3 runs

NR jumps to 22-20; BGSM falls to 12-30

SR wins 2nd series in last 4 outings, snapping 7-game losing skid

G#1:  SR,. 5-2

SR scores 3 in 6th to break a 2-2 tie;

Ed Boelkens' 2-out, 2-run triple puts team up for good;

Jeremy Orth has 3 hits for hosts, including a RBI 3-bagger

in opening frame;

Jigs Sandwisch has SR's other RBI with a single in 6th;

Andy Janes lead Trinity with 3 safeties, including a double;

Dana Kratzer & Dan Saygers have run-scoring singles

for TUM in 4th to even score at 2-2

G#2:  SR, 5-3

SR scores 5 times in 2nd & holds on for win;

Boelkens, who goes 5-for-5, has his 2nd, 2-run triple

in as many games with this one also coming with 2 away;

Larry Michel (3B) & Orth (1B) add RBI hits to close

SR's big inning;

Michel ends contest with 3 hits;

Brad Kratzer (RBI 3B in 2nd), Mike Ruthenberg (RBI 3B in 6th)

& Janes (RBI 1B in 6th) account for TUM's run production

G#3:  SR, 8-3

Tied at 1-1 in 7th, SR explodes for 7 tallies to secure sweep;

Steve Kurfess starts rally with a 3-run bomb &

Lori Dewyre later clears bases with a 3-run triple;

Rick Lees has a RBI single for team's final marker;

Orth's RBI triple in 1st puts SR up 1-0, but TUM quickly ties

it a half inning later on Ruthenberg's RBI deuce;

Gary Manning (8th) & Dave Avery (9th) hit late inning

solo HRs to close game's scoring;

Boelkens adds 4 more hits to end series with 11

TUM slips to 21-21; SR improves to 13-29

B#2 wins 3rd straight series, out slugging rivals, 25-6

G#1:  B#2, 15-1

Guests break out ye olde whooping sticks early, jumping to an

8-0 lead in 1st & pushing margin to 13-0 in 3rd;

B#2 bangs out 23 hits (16 over 1st 3 innings), including 4 by

Mike O'Brien & 3 each by Rick Cajka, Travis Ford &

John Keiser (2-2B, 3B);

All but 1 B#2 shooter collects a RBI with Pepper Martin

leading way with 3, including a 2-run double in 1st;

B#2 opens game with 7 straight hits & 9 total in opening frame;

O'Brien caps big 1st with a 2-out, 2-run 3-sacker;

O'Brien, Cajka, Ken Gerwin, Ford & Kit Keiser all have 2 RBI;

Dave Helm has 3 hits (2B) to pace B#1;

A Jim Fields RBI triple in 9th spoils B#2 shutout bid

G#2:  B#2, 7-1

B#1 takes a 1-0 lead in 2nd on a Dean Schuerman solo shot,

but team's offense would go quiet rest of way;

B#2 evens score in 3rd on Rick Rahe's solo bomb & would

grab upper hand for good in 4th on a Duane Peters RBI triple;

Ford & John Keiser hit solo HRs to start club's 3-run rally in 8th;

O'Brien has 3 more hits, including a RBI triple to end 8th;

Keiser ends contest with pair of RBI with his other

coming on a single in 4th;

Ken Finley has a triple in 7th to break into RBI column;

Schuerman leads B#1 with 3 hits

G#3:  B#1, 4-3

Luther Henline salvages win for hosts with a 2-out,

walk-off HR in 9th;

B#2 starts off strong again taking a 2-0 lead in 1st on a RBI

double by Martin & a run-scoring single by Gerwin;

A Vic Schuerman HR in 2nd narrows gap to a run, but B#2

pushes advantage back to pair on Finley's RBI triple in 5th;

Schuerman collects another RBI in 6th on a double &

Andrew Kreais ties it in 8th with a solo center finder;

Steve Kreais & Henline have 3 hits apiece for B#1, while

Peters matches that for B#2

B#1 & B#2 both settle at 24-18

SGU breaks slump, regains winning ways

G#1:  SGU, 7-4

Jim Bowe knocks in 3 for visitors on a RBI triple in

4th & a 2-run double in 5th that puts team up 6-1;

John Schulte leads SGU with 3 hits;

Jim Jones, Al Troutt & Ron Curtis all have 3 hits for PP

with Troutt collecting 2 doubles (RBI) & Curtis belting 2 solo HRs

G#2:  SGU, 4-2

Bowe drives in half of SGU's runs with a 2-run HR in 8th

that breaks a 2-2 deadlock;

Don Young ties game a batter earlier with a RBI deuce;

Bob Marsh puts SGU up early with a lead-off HR in 2nd;

PP scores both of its runs in 5th to take a 2-1 advantage;

Dale Fahle (3B) & Will Tezak (1B) have RBI hits

G#3:  PP, 11-5

PP cracks open a 5-3 game in B-7th with 6 runs;

Chester Griswold has a big 2-run triple in 7th frame;

Curtis drives in 3, while Tezak & John Troutt join

Griswold with 2 RBI;

Curtis finishes game with 2 more center strikes & a double;

Curtis ends series with 4 bombs;

Troutt strokes 3 doubles & Jones also has 3 safeties;

Marsh has 3 hits (2-2B, HR);

Gary Evers & Charlie Krawetzke each hit 2-run HRs for guests

SGU moves to 24-18; PP dips to 14-28
