Two BGC players hit cycles in sweep & every player in lineup

hits at least 1 HR as team runs win streak to 8 after 0-4 start

G#1:  BGC, 10-5

Jerry Charles hits for cycle with an RBI triple in 1st, an RBI

single in 3rd, a 2-run HR in 5th & a double in 7th;

Craig Kleine (3B, 2B) & Ralph Aufdenkamp (2-2B) each have

2 RBI with Aufdenkamp hitting a 2-run shot in 7th;

Paul Wachter's lead-off bomb in 4th breaks a 4-4 deadlock;

Jim Meyer plates BGC's last run with a triple in 9th;

Seth Peters (E) & Aufdenkamp end game with 3 hits each;

Will Tezak (lead-off in 1st), Jim Jones (2-run in 3rd),

Steve Williams (lead-off in 9th) all hit HRs for PP;

Chris Tezak accounts for PP other RBI with a double in 3rd

G#2:  BGC, 8-2

Down 1-0 in 4th, BGC scores 3 on a Charles double &

a Seth Peters 2-run bomb;

BGC adds 3 in 6th to blow game open & then puts 2

more on board in 8th;

Ben Peters (3B) & Meyer (2-run HR) have RBI hits in 6th &

Peters & Meyer again come through in 9th, producing RBI doubles;

Will Tezak (2B in 1st) & John Troutt (1B in 5th) bring

home PP's lone runs

G#3:  BGC, 12-6

BGC keeps offensive train going in finale to push

run total for night to 30;

BGC scores early & often, building a 10-2 lead in 5th;

Kleine & Ben Peters both go 5-for-5 with Peters garnering

his team's 2nd cycle of evening;

Peters collects an RBI double in 1st, an RBI single in 3rd;

a run-scoring 3-sacker in 5th, a solo HR in 7th & then

tacks on an extra single in 9th;

Kleine belts a pair of solo HRs in 1st & 4th to go along

with an RBI double in 8th;

Aufdenkamp drives in 2 with an RBI triple in 3rd

& an RBI double in 5th;

Rick Traver starts game with a HR to ignite a 3-run 1st

followed by another 3-run 3rd;

Caleb Peters hits 1st of back-to-back 2-out jacks for

BGC in 4th, while Seth Peters produces an RBI triple in 3rd

to start club's rally in that frame;

Steve Williams has 3 doubles for PP, while Chris Tezak

drives in a pair of runs on doubles in 3rd & 5th;

Kim Tezak also contributes a pair of triples for hosts;

Jones has an RBI double in 1st, while Troutt hits a lead-off

HR in 5th to start a 4-run PP rally that eventually cuts

BGC's lead to 4 runs;

Will Tezak & Chester Griswold also add RBI doubles in 5th

In all, 13 different players (both sides) go yard in series

with just 1 shooter connecting twice

BGC climbs into tie for 2nd at 8-4; PP dips to 4-8

SGU wins 3rd series of young season

G#1:  SGU, 4-3

Rookie Charlie Krawetzke's solo HR in 8th breaks a 3-3 deadlock;

Chris Lockoski churns out 3 hits to spark SGU, including an RBI

double in 4th, while Bob Dierker goes deep in 7th;

John Schulte plates SGU's 1st run of 4th with a single;

Rick Ward (4), Bob Jividen (4) & Alex Ward (3) pace PM in hit

department with Ward producing a run-scoring triple in 7th;

AW scores on Tom Jividen's single to even score at 3;

Paul Spicer pushes across PM's 1st tally of game with a 2-out

bases-loaded single in 6th

G#2:  PM, 10-3

PM bangs out 23 hits in middle game with Darren Pash

collecting 5 as does teammate Alex Ward;

Tom Jividen adds 4 hits, while Bob Jividen &

Spicer (2-2B) each net 3;

PM gets 2 in 1st on 2-out RBI hits by Ward (3B) & Tom Jividen (1B);

PM puts game away with 5 runs in 3rd with Spicer

bringing in 2 on a double;

Pash also has an RBI double in 3rd, his 2nd hit of frame;

Rick Ward, Bob Jividen & Alex Ward have RBI singles in big stanza;

Spicer adds a 2-out, RBI 2-sacker in 8th & Alex Ward

doubles in another in 9th;

Tom Jividen plates last PM run with a single in 9th;

Jim Bowe has 3 hits for SGU -- a double in 2nd, a solo HR in 4th

& an RBI triple in 6th;

Krawetzke's 2-out RBI double in 2nd cuts PM's lead to 2-1,

but SGU would get no closer

G#3:  SGU, 4-3

SGU builds a 4-0 lead after 5 innings;

Bob Marsh (3B) & Bowe (1B) give SGU a 2-0 advantage

in 1st with RBI hits;

Gene Fairbanks connects on a solo HR in 2nd & then

Bowe strikes with a 2-out RBI double in 5th;

PM gets on board in 6th on Tom Jividen's 2-out, RBI 2- bagger;

Jim A. Jividen hits a 2-out RBI double in 8th & Tom Jividen

collects another RBI on a single in 9th, but rally falls short;

Pash again has 5 of PM's hits & 12 of team's 53 for series

SGU raises mark to 7-5; PM falls to 8-4

League's top offensive team well below its run average,

but still manages to secure sweep

G#1:  BGN, 4-1

Mike Barbour has 3 hits for Naz & also drives in 3;

Barbour has RBI triples in 3rd & 5th innings

in addition to an RBI double in 9th;

Rookie Scott Atkinson drives in BGN's other run

with a 5th-inning single;

Dave Otte has 3 hits for BGSM & Tom Lemmerbrock

drives in team's lone run on an 8th-inning single

G#2:  BGN, 5-1

BGSM takes a 1-0 lead in 2nd on Keith Miller's RBI double,

but BGN storms back for win with 5 in 8th;

Mickey Gore punishes his former mates with a big 3-run

bomb, while hitting doubles in his prior 2 at bats;

Lish McIntosh (2B) & Brendan Yowler (1B) drive

in BGN's 1st 2 runs of 8th inning

G#3:  BGN, 5-3

BGN rallies again in finale, breaking a 3-3 deadlock in 8th

with a pair of 2-out runs on a Barbour triple & a Yowler single;

Mark Armbruster ties game at 3 for BGN with an RBI 3-bagger;

Armbruster also has an RBI triple in 5th, while Yowler

plates squad's 1st run with a double in 3rd;

Barbour finishes 5-for-5 with 2 extra-base hits;

Larry Zimmerman (3B) & John Kunstmann (1B) give BGSM

a 2-1 lead in 4th with RBI safeties;

After Naz ties game in 5th, Miller puts BGSM up for last time

with an RBI double in 6th

BGN vaults in 1st place at 9-3; BGSM drops to 4-8

Hosts come out on top in 3 tight affairs

G#1:  B#1, 7-6

Dave Helm, Scott Samson & Mel Karns pace winners

with 3 hits apiece;

Down 2-0, B#1 erupts for 6 tallies in 5th as Andrew Kreais (2B),

Ken Rahe (1B), Karns (2-run 3B) & Ken Sieving (2-run HR)

all bring in runs in big rally;

Samson's 2-out RBI double in 6th proves to be winning hit;

Bill Bosworth, Brad Kratzer & Dan Saygers lead Trinity

with 4 hits each with Kratzer knocking in 4 on an RBI triple

in 7th, a 2-run double in 8th & an RBI deuce in 9th;

Saygers (3B in 3rd) & Gary Manning (2B in 5th)

knock in TUM's other runs;

Dana Kratzer chips in 3 hits for guests

G#2:  B#1, 6-5

A Karns bases-loaded single in T-9th snaps a 5-5 tie for B#1;

Helm, Samson & Jim Fields each collect 3 hits with Fields

stroking RBI triples in 3rd & 4th, & then hitting a solo HR in 8th;

Kreais has a pair of RBI singles in 3rd & 4th frames;

Brad Kratzer produces 4 more hits for TUM, while

Bosworth & Dana Kratzer net 3 each;

TUM claws back all game to eventually tie contest

in 8th on Bosworth's 2-out, 2-run triple;

Down 2-0 in 3rd, Mike Farr (3B) & Dana Kratzer (1B)

even score with RBI hits;

DK brings in another on a triple in 4th

G#3:  B#1, 6-4

Farr gives TUM early 1-0 lead in 1st after hitting an RBI triple;

Brad Kratzer puts club up 3-1 in 4th with a single following

a Bosworth 2-out RBI triple;

After B#1 ties game in 4th on consecutive 2-out RBI doubles by Samson & Luther Henline, Dean Schuerman gives hosts upper

hand 4-3 in 5th with a 2-out solo center strike;

However, TUM answers right back in 6th on Farr's

2-out solo bomb;

B#1 gets winning runs in 6th on 2-out hits by

Henline (3B) & Rahe (1B);

Helm plates team's 1st tally in 2nd with a 2-out triple to

knot score at 1 apiece;

Bosworth, Saygers, Helm & Henline (a HR shy of cycle)

all finish game with 3 hits

TUM falls  to 4-8; B#1 improves to 7-5

What a difference a week makes for Zion

G#1:  ZL, 4-2

Dan Meyer puts Zion up for good in 3rd with an RBI double

after his team ties it at 2-2 in 2nd on RBI singles by

Jessie Sundemeier & Brian Burrell;

Travis Ford knocks in both B#2 tallies with a HR in 2nd

to give squad an early lead;

Mike Hoelter concludes ZL scoring by driving in a run

with a 2-out RBI single in 4th;

Burrell finishes with 3 hits as does Duane Peters for B#2

G#2:  ZL, 7-4

Burrell, Jim Hansen & Rick Nelson lead Zion to victory

in middle game with 3 hits each;

All 3 Nelson safeties are doubles & he knocks in 3;

B#2 holds a 4-1 lead after 4 innings, but Zion answers with

5 in 5th to take back advantage for good;

Nelson & Meyer both have 2-run doubles in frame;

Rick Rahe drives in 3 of B#2's runs, hitting a 2-run HR

in 2nd & a solo shot in 4th;

Ford plates B#2's 1st run on a double in 2nd to tie game

at 1-1 after a Nelson RBI double puts ZL up 1-0 in 1st;

Zion adds 2 in 9th on a 2-out Todd Geisbuhler deuce

& a Dick Eilert single

G#3:  ZL, 6-3

Five of game's 9 runs come in opening inning

with B#2 scoring twice & Zion 3 times;

Pepper Martin & Rahe have RBI singles in 1st for B#2,

while Nelson (3B), Hoelter (1B) & Geisbuhler (1B)

bring in Zion's runs;

B#2 ties it in 4th on Gerwin's 2-out triple;

Hoelter puts ZL up 4-3 in 6th with an RBI single &

Geisbuhler pushes home another with an RBI single;

Meyer adds an insurance marker in 8th with a lead-off HR;

Eilert has 5 hits for Zion, including a double;

Nelson (2-2B, 3B) & Moenter contribute 3 hits each;

Gerwin has 4 hits for B#2 while Martin & Mike O'Brien

chip in 3 apiece;

Both teams combine for 34 hits with ZL producing 18

B#2 dips to 5-7; Zion evens slate at 6-6

NR wins opening pair before SR salvages finale

in walk-off fashion

G#1:  NR, 9-6

SR scores 6 in 1st, NR ties it with 6 in 6th & then pulls

away with 3 in 9th for win;

Lyle Schroeder has a 3-run HR in 6th & starts 9th with

a lead-off center marker;

Adam Snyder proceeds Schroeder's bomb in 6th with

a 3-run shot of his own;

Stev Bockbrader nets 5 hits for NR, including an RBI double in 9th;

Doug Brough hits a grand slam in 1st to push SR's lead to 6;

Lori Dewyre & Fred Swihart hit RBI singles prior to Brough's blow

G#2:  NR, 4-3

Dave Snyder's RBI double in 8th snaps a 3-3 tie;

Snyder also hits a solo HR in 6th to give NR a short-lived 3-2 lead;

Ed Boelkens (3B in 3rd), Jeremy Orth (3B in 6th) &

Dewyre (1B in 8th) drive in SR's runs;

Adam Snyder (3B) & Sonny Castillo (1B) team up for consecutive

2-out RBI hits in 5th to get NR on board

G#3:  SR, 5-4 (11 innings)

Orth ends it in 11th with a lead-off HR;

Boelkens & Dewyre each have 2 RBI with Boelkens knocking

in his pair with a 2-out triple in 7th that puts SR up 4-3;

Dewyre gives her squad a 2-0 lead in 1st on a 2-run, 2-out triple;

Jim Bockbrader has a 2-out RBI deuce for NR in 1st to cut deficit

in half, then Schroeder belts another bomb --

this time a 2-run shot in 4th;

A Dave Snyder RBI double in 8th ties contest at 4-4 until Orth

ends it in walk-off fashion

NR goes to 7-5; SR tumbles to 3-9
