B#1 takes opener 4-1 behind 3-hit game from Steve Kreais who

drives in team's 3rd run with triple;

Luther Henline's 2-run HR in 1st proves to be deciding blow;

John Kunstmann has 3 hits for BGSM, including a pair of 3Bs;

B#1 builds early 5-0 lead then holds on for 6-5 victory in G#2;

Mel Karns & Scott Samson both have 3 hits for B#1 with Samson

driving home 3, including 2 run-producing three baggers;

Roger Hayward's 2-run HR in 9th draws BGSM to within a run,

but team can't get equalizer;

Todd Kurfess has 3 hits for BGSM, including an RBI double;

In G#3, B#1 again jumps in front early with a 4-run 1st inning

spotlighted by RBI triples by Dave Apgar & Ken Rahe;

BGSM battles back to tie game at 4 in 6th on a Kunstmann solo

HR, but B#1 responds with 3-run 7th to lead for good;

Andy Kreais has 2-run double in deciding 7th frame;

Another BGSM rally in 9th, all with 2 outs, falls shy in 7-5 loss;

Samson has 4 hits & 2 RBI in finale, while Apgar (RBI) &

Karns (RBI) each produce 3 hits;

Tom Lemmerbrock has 4 hits in losing cause & Kurfess

chips in another 3, including an RBI triple;

Karns (RBI) & Samson (5 RBI) finish series with 8 hits apiece for

B#1, while Kurfess (2 RBI, 2B, 3B) & Kunstmann

(5 RBI, 2-2B, 2-3B, 2-HR) pace the hosts
