Down 3-2 heading into 8th, BGN grabs lead with 5-run
inning with Mark Armbruster's 2-RBI triple capping rally;
However, NR responds with 4 in its half of 8th with
rookie Adam Snyder's 3-run bomb putting NR up for
good in 7-6 conquest;
NR uses some more late-inning magic in taking
G#2 by score of 8-6;
BGN leads 6-3 after 7 innings, but NR scores twice
in 8th on a Jim Dobson HR & then 3 in 9th on 4
consecutive doubles after 2 outs;
Russ Siek has 4 hits for NR & Snyder knocks in 3 more;
BGN breaks open a scoreless deadlock in 3rd &
never looks back in 7-0 win in finale;
Brendan Yowler has 4 hits (including his 2nd triple of
night) & drives in pair to close with 6 RBI for series

BGSM takes opener, 3-2, thanks in part to pair of solo HRs
by Al Bowe, including 5th-inning blast that snaps 2-2 tie;
SR's Ed Boelkens leads both sides with 3 hits;
Down 5-1 after 6 frames in G#2, BGSM rallies for 4
in 7th & 2 in 9th for victory;
BGSM uses 5 doubles in 7th to knot game & Dave Otte's
2-run triple in 9th is game winner;
Otte knocks in 3 for game, including tying RBI double in 7th;
BGSM's Tom Lemmerbrock has 4 hits (RBI), while Boelkens
again paces SR with 5-for-5 effort & Steve Kurfess
hits 2 solo bombs;
It's all SR in finale as guests coast to 7-0 win;
Jeremy Orth is SR's hit leader with 5, including an error,
while Boelkens drive in 2;
Leading 2-0 after 2, SR puts game away with 4 in 4th with
Earl Hagg's 2-run HR capping rally;

Jim Jones has 3 hits for PP;
John Troutt gives guests 1-0 lead in 3rd with a solo HR, a lead that
stands until Ford's RBI two-bagger in 7th;
PP rallies for 7 in 6th to erase 3-run deficit to
gain 8-3 victory in G#2;
Chester Griswold knocks in 5 in PP's big inning on a
2-run HR & then later a 3-run bomb;
Alan Troutt contributes 3 hits for PP (2B, HR) & knocks in 2;
Rick Cajka leads B#2 with 3 hits & 2 RBI, including a triple
that puts team up 2-0 in 5th;
PP comes back again in G#3, this time on a Jones 2-run HR
in 6th that proves to be winning hit in 5-4 victory;
Jones finishes game with 5 hits, including his HR
which snapped a 3-3 deadlock;
Alan Troutt has a 2-run triple for PP in 2nd frame

Dean Schuerman accounts for B#1's lone run on a solo HR in 3rd;
B#1 wins middle game, 3-1, thanks in part to
Schuerman's 3 hits & 2 RBI;
Schuerman's RBI triple in 2nd ties game at 1-1 &
his solo HR in 6th gives club lead for good;
Kenny Sieving makes it back-to-back blasts for B#1
with a solo HR of his own in 6th;
A Tim Parish RBI triple in 2nd puts TUM on board first;
B#1 wins nightcap, 6-5, in a nip-and-tuck game throughout;
Dave Helm & Dave Apgar each have 3 hits for B#1 with
Apgar knocking home a pair with a triple in 1st;
Helm's RBI single in 6th stands as winner;
Sieving's RBI double 2 batters prior to Helm's hit
breaks a 4-4 deadlock;

Zion jumps out to 8-0 lead before SGU gets on board with 3 in 5th;
However, ZL responds with 6-run 5th frame of own sparked by
Jim Hansen's 3-run HR in his debut game of year;
Bob Marsh has 3 hits for SGU, including a 2-run HR;
ZL takes G#2 by score of 6-2 as Eilert has 4 more hits (RBI);
SGU salvages win in finale with 9-4 victory;
John Schulte paces SGU with 3-hit game, while Gary Evers,
Marsh & Don Young all drive in 2 runs;
SGU smacks 7 HRs in G#3, 2 each from Marsh & Young;
Eilert & Juergens post 4 hits apiece for Zion;
Eilert goes 12-for-17 (RBI) on night as his team
