Mike Farr collects 4 hits & plates 5 in Trinity's

8-2 victory in G#1;

Farr has pair of triples & HR, including 2-run

3-bagger in 4th that breaks tie for good;

TUM's Dan Saygers has 3 RBI & a triple,

while Dave Avery also contributes 4 hits;

Chester Griswold's 2-run HR briefly ties game at 2-2 for PP in 3rd;

Trinity erases early 1-0 PP lead with 3 runs in 2nd & another 3 in

3rd en route to 8-3 middle contest conquest;

Gary Manning accounts for all of TUM's 2nd-inning tallies

with 3-run bomb;

Manning finishes game with 5 RBI after a 2-run HR in 8th;

PP scores 5 runs in 1st & is never headed in 8-2 win in G#3:

Hosts hit 3 HRs in opening inning -- a lead-off shot by

Griswold, a 2-run center marker by Alan Troutt &

a solo blast from Ron Curtis:

Troutt hits another HR in 3rd;

PP eventually builds lead to 8-0 after 5 frames;

Manning breaks PP's shut-out bid with 2-run HR in 8th

Zion breaks losing slide, gains ground with 2 wins

Zion rallies with 4 runs over last 2 at bats

to grab 5-3 win in opener;

Down 3-1 in 7th, 2-out RBI hits by Dick Eilert (3B)

Brian Burrell (1B) tie game;

Mike Hoelter breaks deadlock in 8th with 2-out RBI triple

& Jim Hansen adds an insurance run with RBI single;

B#1 registers all of its tallies in 6th, including RBI triples

from Ken Rahe & Scott Samson;

Burrell gives ZL 1-0 lead in 3rd with his RBI duce;

Burrell leads both sides with 3 hits;

Zion comes up with another late inning rally to

claim middle contest, 3-2;

B#1 goes ahead 2-0 in 6th on 2-out Rahe RBI triple

& Mel Karns RBI single;

ZL, however, rallies with single runs in 7th, 8th & 9th

for victory;

B#1 opens 9th with 4 straight singles, with last coming

from Moenter to break tie;

Jessica Lang hits solo HR in 7th & Hansen has RBI single in 8th;

Eilert & Burrell pace Zion with 3 hits apiece,

including 1 double each;

B#1 salvages series with 5-2 victory in G#3;

Guests score all 5 of its markers in 6th on 8 hits, all singles,

& an RBI sacrifice by Andy Kreais;

Luther Henline, Samson, Dave Helm & Dave Apgar each

produce RBI hits in deciding frame;

Rick Nelson's RBI triple & Hansen's RBI single

account for Zion's runs coming in its half of 6th;

Henline ends games with 4-for-4 effort & Helm has 3 hits;

Curt Juergens also has 3 safeties for host Zion

NR wins 2nd series in 3 weeks

NR opens night with thrilling back-&-forth,

10-9 victory spanning 15 innings;

Down 7-6 entering 9th, SGU scores twice on solo

HRs by Jim Bowe & Bob Marsh to take lead;

NR responds with a 2-out bomb by Jim Dobson

to force extra time;

SGU regains lead in 13th on a Bowe solo shot,

but NR again knots score on Adam Snyder's

2-out RBI double;

NR finally ends it on Sonny Castillo's 1-out

walk-off blast in 15th;

NR jumps out to 5-0 lead after 3, but SGU rallies

to eventually take 6-5 lead in 6th;

Marsh & Gary Evers (2) hit HRs over course of middle frames;

John Schulte (3-2B, RBI) quietly goes 7-for-8 & Bowe

(2-2B, 2-HR, 3 RBI) notches 6 hits in losing cause;

Evers also drives in 3 runs for SGU;

Stev Bockbrader has 4 hits (2B, 3B, RBI) for NR, while

Russ Siek (2-2B) collects 3 hits & 2 RBI;

Each squad churns out 22 hits & combines for 27 extra

basers, including 9 HRs;

In G#2, SGU gets on board in 1st inning on Chris Lockoski's

solo HR, but NR nets game's last 4 runs en route to win;

Gary Chamberlain connects for solo HR in 5th, Lyle Schroeder

cracks 2-run bomb in 7th & Bockbrader has RBI double in 8th

to close scoring in 4-1 NR win;

SGU takes finale by score of 5-0;

Don Young's RBI double in 5th stands as winning hit;

Gene Fairbanks tops SGU's 3-run 5th with 2-run HR;

Lockoski adds 2-run center strike in 6th to end scoring;

Schulte finishes series with 11 hits;

BGC wins opener, but SR takes series

BGC ends 7-game losing skid with 2-1 victory in G#1;

Jessica Orth puts SR on board 1st with solo HR,

but a Ben Peters triple in 4th ties game at 1-1;

Rick Traver's solo center strike in 7th is

difference in game;

Ed Boelkens has 5 hits in wild 10-8 SR win

in middle contest;

Larry Michel's 2-run HR wins it for SR in walk-off

fashion in 11th inning to cap 4-run rally

after BGC takes lead in top of frame with 2 runs;

Peters & Ralph Aufdenkamp each collect RBI doubles

in 11th to give BGC a 2-run advantage, but

Jeremy Orth's 2-run triple for SR knots score & sets

stage for Michel's winning hit;

Down 4-2 in 8th, BGC rallies for 4 runs on 4 hits, including

a 2-run HR by Paul Wachter, but SR forces extras

on Jeremy Orth's 2-out, 2-run triple in last of 9th;

Michel finishes game with 4 RBI;

Jeremy Orth drives home 5 & has 4 hits, including 3 triples;

Jerry Charles has 4 hits, including a solo HR, to pace BGC;

Peters adds a pair of RBI doubles & finishes game with 4 hits,

while Seth Peters & Aufdenkamp each blast 2-run HRs;

SR scores 4 in 1st inning of finale & that stands as

difference in 5-2 victory;

Jeremy Orth, who collects 3 more hits for contest, has RBI

triple & Fred Swihart a 2-run HR in opening uprising;

Jessica Orth hits another HR for team's 5th & final run;

Ben Peters produces 3 hits & RBI for hosts

& Aufdenkamp goes deep once more

B#2 sweeps to take 1st place away from PM

B#2 scores 4 in 1st inning of opener & never looks back in

11-3 opening-game victory;

Travis Ford has 2 RBI double to cap early rally;

Mike O'Brien (RBI) & Ken Gerwin each record

4-hit games;

Gerwin knocks in 3 & has solo HR among his safeties;

John Keiser has a game-high 4 RBI on a sacrifice, HR & double;

Rick Ward paces PM with 4 hits & Paul Spicer

collects a triple & 2 RBI;

Trailing 2-0 in 4th of middle game, B#2 grabs lead on

Keiser's 3-run bomb;

B#2 eventually builds cushion to 7-2 in 8th before

settling for 8-3 win;

Rick Cajka has 3 hits, including an RBI triple;

Rookie Chris Jordan goes 4-for-4 for PM with

a run-scoring 3-bagger to plate team's 1st run;

B#2 jumps out to big 6-0 lead after 3 innings in finale

before PM breaks into scoring column in 5th;

Seven different players drive in runs for B#2 in team's

8-1 victory, including Keiser who hits a pair of solo HRs

BGSM records 1st sweep to pull to .500 mark

Hosts start series on high note with 11-3 win

as a 6-run 1st inning sets tone for night;

Mark Henning's grand slam is big hit of opening frame;

Tom Lemmerbrock has 4 hits for BGSM, including an RBI

triple, while Larry Weiss has 3 hits & an RBI;

Seven BGSM players drive in at least 1 run, including

Keith Miller who hits 2-run bomb;

Mike Barbour leads BGN in RBI with 2 &

Jody Yowler has 3 hits;

BGSM comes away with 3-1 victory in G#2 marathon

that goes 13 innings;

BGSM proves best in long run on Lemmerbrock's 2-run

HR in 13th, 2 batters after a Miller lead-off double;

Miller ties game in 8th at 1-1 with solo HR;

Brendan Yowler puts BGN up in 1st with RBI triple & finishes

game with pair of 3-baggers (of his 3 hits);

Weiss has 3 more safeties (2 doubles) for BGSM;

Brendan Yowler puts BGN up 1-0 again in 1st inning

of finale, but BGSM comes away with 4-1 victory;

John Kunstmann's bases-loaded triple in 4th gives BGSM

lead it never relinquishes;

Cheryl Kurfess hits solo HR in 7th for game's final run;

Dave Otte sparks home squad with 3 hits & Jody Yowler
