Trinity belts out 22 hits in win with Andy Janes &

Dan Saygers leading way with 5 each;

Mike Ruthenberg contributes 4 safeties & Mike Farr drives in 3;

TUM scores in each of 1st 2 innings & never looks back;

Dana Kratzer has a 2-run double in 1st & Farr an RBI triple in 2nd;

Zion makes it 3-1 in 3rd on a Mike Moenter single, but TUM

extends its lead to 8-1 before Rick Nelson plates

2 for Zion in 8th on his 3rd double of game;

Ruthenberg has an RBI triple in 4th, Kratzer hits a lead-off

HR in 6th, & Farr plates 2 on a 3-bagger in 7th, 2 shooters after

an RBI single by Dave Avery;

Dick Eilert & Moenter have 4 hits each for Zion

G#2:  ZL, 9-4

TUM starts off exactly like G#1 with 2 tallies in 1st &

a singleton in 2nd, but Zion storms back for win;

This time Farr & Brad Kratzer have RBI doubles

in 1st & Farr adds a run-scoring triple in 2nd;

Zion gets back in game in 3rd on Brian Burrell's

2-run HR & then grabs lead for good in 4th on a Burrell

RBI double & a Moenter RBI single;

ZL closes game with a 3-run 8th & 2-run 9th;

Nelson has a 2-RBI double & Andy Lang an RBI single in 8th

before Eilert's 2-run bomb in 9th closes scoring;

Dan Meyer has 3 doubles for Zion;

Burrell, Moenter & Eilert all finish with 4 hits apiece;

Brad Kratzer collects another RBI with a double in 6th;

Janes has 4 more hits -- all doubles'

G#3:  ZL, 5-4

Zion scores early & often & then holds on for win in finale;

Mike Hoelter gives ZL a 1-0 lead in 1st with an RBI single & then

Zion builds advantage to 3-0 in 3rd on Meyer's 2-run double;

Eilert hits another 2-run HR in 4th to make it 5-0;

TUM rallies for 3 in 7th on consecutive 2-out RBI hits by

Ruthenberg (2B), Avery (1B) & Janes (1B);

Trinity then trims lead to 5-4 on a Janes bases-loaded single in

8th & again fills bags in 9th but can't push across tying run;

Avery & Ruthenberg have 4 hits each for TUM

B#1 wins 4th series in last 5 weeks

G#1:  B#1, 8-1

B#1 strikes for 4 in 1st & coasts rest of way;

Steve Kreais has big hit in opening inning with

a 2-out, 2-run triple;

Ken Rahe has an RBI 3-bagger in 5th to make 5-0 & then

a 3-run 7th pushes advantage to 8 runs;

Rahe & Jim Fields have RBI triples in 7th;

An Earl Hagg triple in SR's half of 7th breaks shutout;

Mel Karns nets 3 RBI on singles in 1st, 5th & 7th innings;

Fields finishes contest with 2 RBI, including an RBI single in 1st

G#2:  B#1, 9-8 (10 innings)

SR holds lead in this one until B#1 scores 5 in 6th inning

to even game at 7-7;

A stretch of 7 straight hits yields all 5 runs with Kreais (3B),

Harry Reynolds (1B), Luther Henline (1B), Rahe (1B) &

Karns (1B) manufacturing RBI hits;

In 10th, SR regains lead on Jeremy Orth's RBI triple, but B#1

rallies to win it on Dean Schuerman's walk-off 2-run HR;

Fred Swihart hits a 2-run bomb for SR in 2nd to open scoring;

Swihart also belts a 2-run shot in 6th to put team up 7-2;

Ed Boelkens has 4 hits for SR with his single in

5th plating a run, while teammate Rick Lees also has 4

safeties, including an RBI triple in 6th;

Orth finishes with 2 RBI, including a run-scoring single in 4th;

Reynolds & Dave Apgar pace B#1 with 4 hits each;

Reynolds hits a solo HR in 4th & ends game with 2 RBI

G#3:  SR, 6-5

Rick Lees leads winners with 4-for-4 (4 RBI) effort at line,

including a pair of triples;

Down 6-3 in 9th, B#1 tries for another rally, but falls just

short stranding tying run at third base;

A Victor Schuerman 2-run HR pulls team to within a run;

Schuerman also hits a 2-run HR in 7th to tie game at 3-3;

Rahe brings in B#1's 1st run in opening frame with a triple;

Larry Michel & Lees have RBI singles in 3rd to give SR

a 2-1 advantage;

A Lees triple in 5th puts squad up by 2;

Lees also has big 2-run, 3-bagger in 7th to give SR lead for good;

Lori Dewyre plates team's last tally with her RBI single scoring

NR wins 1st series since mid-January

G#1:  NR, 5-4

Down 4-3 in 8th, NR rallies to win game thanks to a

2-out, 2-run HR by Lyle Schroeder;

Schroeder also hits solo center marker in 2nd

giving NR a 2-1 lead;

Adam Snyder's bases-loaded single in 1st gives NR

an early 1-0 advantage;

BGC ties game in 2nd on Caitlin Davenport's RBI double;

After Dave Snyder's solo HR puts NR up 3-1 in 3rd,

Peters cuts deficit to 1 in 4th with an RBI 2-sacker;

Peters knots score at 3-3 when he connects with an RBI triple

in 6th & then BGC grabs only lead of contest on Ron Merritt's

RBI double in 8th which scores Peters who doubles just prior;

Peters leads both sides with 3 safeties & 3 RBI

G#2:  NR, 6-4

Dave Snyder knocks in half of NR's runs with his 3-run

HR in 4th that puts team on board 1st;

BGC gets 2 runs back in its half of 4th on RBI hits

by Peters (3B) & Merritt (1B);

BGC grabs lead next inning on consecutive solo HRs

by Paul Wachter & Rick Traver, but NR responds

with game's final 3 tallies;

Adam Snyder delivers an RBI triple in 6th & then Jim Dobson

hits a 2-run HR in 7th for what stands as winning blow

G#3:  BGC, 4-3

BGC uses 3 HR's to produce all of its runs in spoiling

NR's sweep bid;

Trailing 3-0 in 5th, Davenport hits a 2-out, 2-run bomb &

Ralph Aufdenkamp follows with a solo shot to equal score;

Wachter's solo HR in 8th snaps 3-3 tie;

Stev Bockbrader gives NR a 1-0 lead in 1st with

an RBI triple & then Keith Roberts connects on a 2-run

HR in 2nd to push NR's cushion to 3 runs;

NR goes without a hit in its final 22 at bats after Roberts' HR

G#1:  BGN, 8-4

Phil Cribbs & Kevin Miller combine to knock in

6 of BGN's run count;

Cribbs hits a 3-run HR in 2nd inning to give team lead

for good, while Miller contributes an RBI single

in 3rd & 2-run HR in 7th;

Lish McIntosh drives in other BGN tallies with RBI

doubles in 3rd & 7th frames;

SGU grabs a 2-0 lead in 2nd on a solo HR by Gene Fairbanks

& an RBI single by Bob Marsh;

Fairbanks also hits a solo shot in 7th &

Don Young does same in 6th

G#2:  SGU, 2-0

Jim Bowe's 2-run HR in 4th inning turns out to be

only scoring of game;

BGN advances just 1 runner past first base with a pair

of singles in 2nd inning;

Todd Nienow has 3 of BGN's 7 hits;

All 5 of SGU hits are for extra bases, including 2 doubles by Young

SGU rallies for win scoring contest's last 3 runs;

Gary Evers ties game at 1-1 in 5th with solo HR;

Back-to-back doubles by Young & Bowe in 6th give

squad a 2-1 advantage;

Chris Lockoski puts club up by pair in 8th with an RBI deuce;

Young leads SGU offense with 3 more doubles;

Ford finishes game with 3 hits, including a pair of doubles

with his 1st driving in 2 runs in 1st inning;

Peters has a 2 RBI 3-bagger in 4-run 4th;

Pepper Martin connects for a solo HR in 3rd;

Ken Gerwin knocks in 2 with his triple in 2nd plating a run;

John Kunstmann accounts for all of BGSM's runs with

a solo HR in 2nd & 3-run bomb in 6th

G#2:  B#2, 5-2

Down 1-0, B#2 scores all 5 of its runs in 6th en route

to victory with Ford delivering a 2-out, 2-run double

& Keiser following with a 3-run center strike;

BGSM grabs early lead in 2nd on Roger Hayward's RBI single;

A Marilyn Shepperd solo HR in 6th closes game's scoring

G#3:  BGSM, 7-0

BGSM pitches shutout in finale as B#2 offense goes cold

producing just 3 safeties;

Kunstmann's grand slam in 1st frame proves to be winning hit;

Dave Otte strokes an RBI triple in 3rd, while pinch-hitter

Mark Henning drives in a run in 8th with a double;

Larry Weiss brings home BGSM's final run on his 4th

single of game in 8th;

Keiser (3B, 2-HR) & Kunstmann (3B, 3-HR) end night

with 8 RBIs each;

Weiss & Todd Kurfess lead BGSM with 7 hits apiece,

while Rick Cajka paces B#2 with 6

His RBI double in 2nd is part of a 3-run frame for PM;

Darren Pash contributes 4 hits, including an RBI triple in 6th;

Bob Jividen (1B), Paul Spicer (2B) & Alex Ward (1B) drive

in PM's other runs;

PP is held to just 4 hits with 3 coming on Dale Fahle doubles

G#2:  PM, 5-4

Down 4-1 in last of 9th, PM rallies for 4 runs to win

in walk-off fashion;

A Pash 2-run triple brings club to within a run & then with

2 outs Alex Ward ties it with a single;

Tom Jividen then ends game with a clutch 3-sacker;

Spicer knocks in team's 1st tally with a single in 4th that

cuts PP lead in half at 2-1;

PP takes a 2-0 advantage in 3rd on back-to-back RBI

doubles by Al Troutt & Chris Tezak;

Jim Jones & Troutt have consecutive run-scoring

deuces in 9th to give club a short-lived 3-run lead;

Bob Jividen has 5 hits for PM

G#3:  PM, 4-3

PM rallies again in finale to claim victory;

Trailing 2-1 in 8th, PP nets 2 runs on John Troutt's HR;

PM then puts together another 9th-inning comeback

with Spicer starting scoring with an RBI triple;

Grace Jividen then gives PM lead for good with a 2-out RBI single;

Rick Ward gives PM a 1-0 cushion in 6th with an RBI triple, but a

Ron Curtis lead-off bomb in bottom of frame ties game at 1-1;

Tom Jividen breaks 1-1 deadlock with an RBI triple in 7th;

Pash finishes game with 4 hits & 12 for series
