Ford finishes with 3 doubles;

Ryan Chamberlain's single puts NR up 1-0 in 2nd, but

Pepper Martin's solo HR a half inning later ties game;

B#2 goes up 3-1 in 5th on Kit Keiser's 2-run bomb;

NR ties in 6th with back-to-back RBI doubles by

Russ Siek & Adam Snyder;

Victory marks 16th win in 18 games for B#2;

NR rebounds to win G#2, 3-0, ending opponent's

win streak at 7 games;

B#2 offense suddenly goes cold, collecting only 3 hits;

Russ Siek's lead-off HR in 2nd is all NR needs to earn win;

Sonny Castillo also has RBI double in 2-run 2nd frame;

Stev Bockbrader makes it 3-0 with an RBI double in

7th & Chamberlain concludes scoring with solo shot in 8th;

Castillo ends with 4 hits, including a pair of 2-sackers;

NR earns consecutive shutouts with a 7-0 win in finale;

Visitors get 2 in 1st on Dave Snyder's bases-loaded

double & never look back;

Lyle Schroeder produces RBI doubles in 4th, 6th & 8th innings;

Snyder also adds an RBI double in 6th & Jim Dobson

drives in a run with a triple in 8th;

Ford has 2 more doubles for B#2 to finish series with 6

Scrappy SGU gives PM all it can handle with its 18 runs scored

PM wins dog-fight of an opener, 7-6, in 10 innings;

Paul Spicer's walk-off RBI triple gives PM upper hand;

SGU grabs 6-3 lead in 9th on Chris Lockoski's 2-run

HR, but PM rallies for 3 to force extra frames;

Alex Ward has a big 2-run triple in 9th & Grace Jividen

follows with game-tying RBI single;

Both teams trade a pair of runs in 4th;

SGU's Don Young hits a solo HR & Gene Fairbanks has an RBI

double, while Jividen has a run-producing double &

Chris Jordan an RBI single for PM;

SGU goes ahead 4-2 in 5th when Young & Lockoski hit

consecutive RBI 2-baggers;

Chris Soals gets a run back for PM in 5th with an RBI double;

Young has 4 hits & John Schulte adds 3;

Darren Pash & Spicer each produce 4 safeties for PM;

PM takes middle game, 9-6, as Pash turns in

another 4-hit game;

PM jumps out to a 5-0 lead with a single run in 1st & 4 in 3rd;

Spicer has RBI triples in both stanzas, while Grace Jividen (3B),

Tom Jividen (1B) & Soals also have RBI hits in 3rd;

A Gary Evers 2-run double in 4th gets SGU on board;

PM pushes advantage to 5 runs in 5th when Chris Jordan (3B)

& Rick Ward (1B) notch RBI hits;

SGU makes things interesting in its 5th with 4 big tallies;

Jim Bowe (3B), Young (1B) & Lockoski (2-run HR) string together

RBI hits to cut PM's lead to a single tally;

PM responds with 2 in 6th to end game's scoring as Soals

hits an RBI triple & Alex Ward follows with a single;

Young paces SGU with 3 hits, including a pair of doubles;

PM completes sweep with 10-6 win in G#3 to run

winning streak to 9 games;

SGU actually leads this one 4-2 until PM manufactures

a monster 8-run, 11-hit 4th inning to put game on ice;

All 9 PM players have at least 1 hit in 4th with all but

1 driving in a run;

SGU goes up 2-0 in 1st on Young's 2-run double, but PM

deadlocks game in 3rd on an RBI triple by Spicer

& a run-scoring single by Soals;

Fairbanks' 2-run bomb in 4th gives SGU its last lead;

Don Taulker (oldest player in WCDL at 94) hits a solo HR for

SGU in 6th & Evers goes deep in 9th;

Schulte churns out 4 more hits for guests, while Spicer

& Soals each have 2 RBI for PM

Trinity claims opening pair to win series

TUM wins opener, 6-3;

Mike Farr gives Trinity lead in 1st with RBI triple;

BGSM ties it on a Larry Weiss RBI double in 5th;

TUM goes back in lead with 3 in 6th on a Dana Kratzer

RBI double & he scores on Mike Ruthenberg's 2-run HR;

BGSM rallies again to tie contest with 3 in 8th;

John Kunstmann knocks in pair with a 2-out double &

Dave Otte follows with a run-scoring deuce;

TUM earns win with 2 runs a half inning later on

Ruthenberg's 2nd HR in as many at bats -- another 2-run bomb;

Farr ends with 3 hits (E, 2B, 3B);

Trinity makes it 2 in a row with 7-3 middle-game win;

TUM picks up where left of in G#1 with 2 tallies in opening frame

on a Dan Saygers RBI triple & a Dana Kratzer RBI single;

BGSM cuts lead to 2-1 on Jerry Bruns' RBI single & then

deadlocks contest in 2nd on a Cheryl Kurfess solo HR;

Trinity goes up for good with 2 in 3rd, again on RBI

triple/single combo, this time by Farr & Saygers;

A solo shot by Ruthenberg in 6th makes it 5-2, but BGSM

counters with solo HR of its own in 6th by Al Bowe;

TUM adds insurance run in 7th as Farr (3B) & Saygers (1B)

again combine for RBI hits;

Dave Avery, Farr (2B, 2-3B), Saygers (3 RBI) each

produce 3 safeties, while Bruns has 3 hits for BGSM;

BGSM captures 3-0 victory in G#3;

TUM strands 8 with all reaching on singles;

Todd Kurfess hits 2-out RBI triple in 3rd

which proves to be winning hit;

Keith Miller belts solo HR in 4th & then Weiss pushes

lead to 3 runs in 9th with RBI single

B#1 wins 3rd series in last 4 attempts

B#1 takes opener, 6-1;

PP goes in front in 3rd on a Jim Jones RBI single, but

it's all B#1 after that;

B#1 scores 4 in 4th on a 2-run triple by Dean Schuerman

& then an Andy Kreais 2-run bomb;

Mel Karns ends game's scoring with a 2 RBI 3-bagger in 7th;

Dave Apgar & Karns both have 3 hits for B#1;

PP pitches shutout, 3-0, in G#2;

PP jumps out to 2-0 lead in 1st of middle contest with

Al Troutt driving in both runs with a 2-out double;

Troutt knocks home another in 3rd on a 2-sacker

for team's final tally;

Jones leads both sides with 4 safeties;

B#1 strands all 6 of its runners with just 1 reaching

as far as 2nd base;

Guests win series with 10-4 victory in finale;

Luther Henline does a couple HR dances & drives

in 5 for game as B#1 produces 18 hits;

Apgar, Henline & Karns collect 3 hits each for B#1,

while Jones also has 3 for hosts & Griswold knocks in pair;

Henline hits a 2-run bomb in 3rd following an Apgar RBI double;

Henline connects again in 5th with a 3-run shot

to put team up 6-0;

Griswold & John Troutt both hit solo HRs in 7th for PP;

PP strikes for 2 more in 8th on an RBI triple by

Kim Tezak & a Griswold RBI single to cut deficit to 2;

B#1 puts game away in 9th with 4 runs on RBI hits by

Steve Kreais (3B), Karns (1B), Jim Fields (3B) & Schuerman (1B)

BGC wins 2nd series in as many weeks

BGC wins opener, 3-2, in 12 innings as Craig Kleine

wins game with walk-off solo HR;

Team's traded runs in 7th to get on board;

Zion gets pair on Jessica Lang's solo shot &

Brian Burrell's RBI double;

BGC answers with bombs by Jim Meyer & Paul Wachter

to begin bottom half of frame;

Rick Nelson has 3 doubles for visitors;

Zion grabs middle game, 7-3, as Dick Eilert

collects 3 hits, including a double;

BGC's Seth Peters leads both sides with 4 hits;

BGC scores 1st on a Jerry Charles RBI double in

opening stanza;

ZL, however, ties game in its half of 1st on a Nelson triple;

BGC takes lead on Ron Merritt's RBI 3-bagger in 5th, but

Zion scores 4 runs a half inning later on 5 doubles

to take control of game, including RBI deuces from Eilert,

Burrell, Curt Juergens & Mike Moenter;

BGC gets run back in 7th on a Charles RBI triple, but Zion adds

single tallies in its last 2 at bats to conclude scoring;

Nelson has an RBI double in 7th &

Dan Meyer provides same in 8th

BGC captures nightcap, 8-2;

Luckey opens scoring when Nelson plates runner

in 1st with a double;

BGC erases Zion lead for good in 4th with 4 -- all on

Jim Meyer's grand slam following an error to load bases;

BGC adds more in 5th when Charles hits another RBI triple

& again in 7th on a run-scoring 3-sacker by Kleine

& a Charles RBI single;

Another Meyer HR, this time a solo blast, gives BGC

its final marker in 8th;

Peters posts his 2nd 4-hit game of series & Meyer

finishes G#3 with 5 RBI

BGN continues move up standings with 7th win in 3 weeks

BGN wins G#1, 3-2, as Mickey Gore quickly ends it in

last of 10th with lead-off HR;

Myrl Bretz ties in 9th for SR with his clutch 2-out RBI triple;

BGN goes up 1-0 in 2nd as Michelle Lewis hits an RBI double

after Phil Cribbs extends inning with his 4th error hit of year;

Fred Swihart ties game in 5th with solo HR, but

Brendan Yowler puts BGN up again in 8th with a 2-out single

BGN's lead is short lived as Bretz forces extras in 9th;

Mike Barbour has 3 hits for home squad, including a double;

BGN claims middle game, 2-0;

Only scoring of game comes in 8th when BGN strings together

3 straight 1-out doubles by Lish McIntosh, Yowler & Barbour;

Barbour produces 3 more hits;

SR puts its first 2 shooters on base in 1st, but can muster

only 4 hits in separate innings rest of way;

Hosts complete sweep with 9-6 victory in G#3, scoring

7 times in initial 2 innings;

SR garners a 2-0 lead in 1st on RBI singles by Bretz & Rick Lees;

BGN promptly ties game with 2 in its half of 1st with Yowler

connecting on an RBI triple & scoring on a Barbour single;

BGN then erupts for 5 runs in 2nd with Yowler's bases-loaded

triple being big hit of game;

Bill Bosworth & Barbour have RBI singles before & after

Yowler's base-clearing blow;

BGN extends lead to 9-4 late before Jeremy Orth

hits a 2-run triple for SR in 9th;

Steve Kurfess & Swihart hit smack solo HRs for SR in

4th & 5th innings, respectively;

Yowler finishes affair with 4 hits & 5 RBI;

Yowler's 3rd triple of game plates another run in 4th;

Jody Yowler knocks in BGN's last run of evening

with a 7th-inning double;

Bosworth also produces 4 hits & Barbour has 2 RBI;
